Is abiogenesis still considered a viable theory?

The universe has had a finite life span. The Bible itself says that life did not always exist. (Genesis 1:2) If you don't believe in abiogenesis, you don't believe the Bible. Even if it did involve divine intervention, it is still abiogenesis.
